Delete your BrainDetox account

BrainDetox — Screen Time & App Blocker · braindetox.app

From inside the app

Open BrainDetox and go to Profile → Delete account. Confirm with your password if your account has one. It takes effect immediately, you are signed out on every device, and the account cannot be signed in to again or restored.

If you have already uninstalled BrainDetox

Email support@braindetox.app from the address your account uses, with the subject Delete my BrainDetox account. We reply to confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.

The request has to come from the account's own email address — it is the only way we can tell it is really you.

What gets deleted

  • Your name
  • Your password, if the account has one
  • The link to your Google account, if you signed in with Google
  • Any outstanding password-reset codes

Residual copies in encrypted database backups are overwritten within 30 days.

What we keep, and why

  • Your email address, the date you deleted, and the country your phone last reported
  • Your purchase and subscription records

We keep the address for two reasons: so we can answer you if you write to us after deleting — for example about a charge — and so that one free trial cannot be claimed over and over by deleting the account and signing up again. We do not email you with it and it is not used for marketing.

It is kept indefinitely. If you want the address removed too, email support@braindetox.app from it and we will delete it.

What we never had in the first place

Your screen time, app usage, limits, blocks, focus sessions and app-lock PIN are stored only on your phone and are never sent to our servers, so there is nothing on our side to delete. Uninstalling BrainDetox removes them with the app.

Deleting the app data without deleting the account

To clear the on-device data but keep your account, use Android Settings → Apps → BrainDetox → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall the app.
